2001/2003 Private and Commercial Boat Numbers in Brown's Canyon
Highlights and Notes: This page shows a graphic representation of the private versus commercial boat use in Brown's Canyon during 2001 and 2003 seasons.
*Private Boat Capacity is 150 boats per day
*Commercial Boat Capacity is 600 boats per day
*Total capacity in Brown's Canyon is 600 boats
per day (never exceeded in 2001 and 2003)
*Private use and Commercial use patterns
differ. Private boat use tends to peak Mid-June (typically flow-high water
dependent). Commercial boat use tends to peak Mid to Late July.
*2002 was such a low water year that the use
patterns weren't representative and private boater boat counts were discontinued.
Private Boaters were just not boating much on the Arkansas.
